Roadmap of Change
EDLD 5363-ET8011
The standards and performance indicators which were covered in my digital story for week 1 from the Williamson & Redish book, were ISTE standards I, II, III and V. I learned about the value of multimedia in learning because it allows you reach various learners by creating different media types. I also learned about digital storytelling and storyboarding and how to put them together to tell a story. I also learned the importance of gathering data and adding text and narration and music to tell the story. Multimedia is a great way to help students expresses themselves and tell their story as well as learn. Multimedia is visual teaching and a great way to reach students with technology they understand and know. In my learning I was able to read, learn and install Photostory software and use it to create a short multimedia video. I had to communicate in an effective way to tell a story to narrate and use pictures to get my point across. I have now improved my knowledge to create storyboard videos and teach students to create them as well. I also was able to post my digital video to demonstrate my knowledge on a wiki and teachertube site to show I can design, produce and distribute a multimedia product.
